Yes it is from a cutting, I got it from a grower in Virginia after sending her some daphnes. San Diego is a perfect climate for a lot of tropicals, never too hot or cold it seems like. I have been there before and it is by far one of the nicest looking cities in the country. It has grown very slowly indoors and it's a heavy feeder too, it probably grows much better for you in your climate! Does it flower all the time?

It's never too cold; however, it does get very, very hot and humid in inland areas (where I live) during summer. In fact we just went through a horrible, horrible heat wave which ended on Monday, which lasted for many weeks.
Yes, Jasminum sambac can bloom all year here in San Diego. It makes a good hedge. It's funny because I've never posted a photo of any growing here in San Diego (because it's so common). I did take some photos of some large ones in Palm Springs. I was surprised it could grow out there in the extreme heat.

It's beautiful! Is this one from a cutting?
Jasminum sambac is a very common landscape shrub here in San Diego, CA. It can grow into a medium-sized bush.
