Have just been to our annual plant sale and bought another variety, we need some privacy, have taken out a large montana covered arch...........needed more light?

OK, we'll, the Eucalyptus I've planted here have been wonderful. I pollarded them and since then I've trimmed them by 1m every year, and that has kept them looking great. I even planted some more young ones recently which I won't be here to look after, but that's life! I love them. I don't think I'll have any in the next place, as it won't really suit them, and I won't need privacy screening, but I do love them. They are perfect for that purpose.

I have one in my garden which we pollard one of the branches has twisted and turned around another branch making it interesting hardly anybody walks by without touching it , there is a huge one growing up the lane from us the branches can be dangerous one of the largest ones fell one day preventing us from getting out until hubby took the chainsaw out to cut it up ......

We have always pollarded our Gunnii but this year it never came back, and still no sign of growth, so I am a bit wary now, will most probably trim them down.....if we can still reach them lol apparently they need more water than people realise.
