Thank you, Brian must get some more as they flower for so long. Shame my Stipa gigantea always gets knocked around by the wind.

I'll be pleased when mine has as many stems Dawn mine was new last year I only had one stem this year ,I love it when the sun catches tips ! the grass I mean not the Echinacea ....

Hi Amy, lets hope you get more stems next time. I need to find a sheltered spot for mine.

Our Stipa is sheltered so it does not get knocked about, it is a super grass, must have had about 20 stems this year....your lawn looks very good considering all the hot weather this year....

Your Stipa sounds wonderful Angela, lovely arent they. Thanks for the comment on the grass, it never seems to dry out too much here to be honest.

I love them too. I have to dig them up each year and put them in the greenhouse. It is too cold in Scotland in the winter.

Didnt realise they weren't totally totally hardy Linda. We get tough winters here, thank you. I'll split some off and keep in the greenhouse.
