My unwanted Gladioli makes it 3 winters in a row surviving in the ground! I haven't the heart to get rid of them now! A lavender seedling has appeared right in the middle of the clump now!

Reading up on lavender, it would appear they secrete a chemical through their roots that discourages other nearby plants from flourishing.
Maybe it'll get rid of your 'unwanted' glads.
One of mine has tried it's best to murder a celosia & a gardenia.
I'll be transplanting the horticultural horror elswhere. Lol.
Come to think of it, that might explain my dead astilbe hn the corner.
It may have been susceptible to another lavendar I planted nearby. =-O

Maybe it was on GQT on Sunday...I've forgotten where I picked up this snippet of info, but it was within the last five days. Lol.
