Yoshi loved to nibble the chain on the lamp!

Very pretty parrot! It looks like the same type of parrots which are wild here.

I understand that escaped lovebirds are a problem for the saguaro owls. they are scrappy little birds...not at all like their name.

This is a love bird. The ones we have here are the lilac crested and red crested parrots (or Amazons). Their populations have exploded over the last 10 years. They cause lots of noise pollution in some of our communities.

I hear them all the time where I live. They come into the tall Norfolk Island Pine in my yard and my neighbor's very tall San Jose Hesper Palm (Brahea brandegeei) palm, which produces sweet fruit.
