the echs and phlox in shadow

I just posted a pic of these in my garden. Great plants aren't they?

Pam24: true.... they are also very hardy and the phlox in combo goes very well. This is the first garden that I've had success with phlox though...most people grow them with no difficulty but I couldn't to save my life...til we moved here.

Funny I couldn't grow phlox either n was happy to discover my new front garden has them, and echs too! but not in combo. Downside..now covered in builders rubble, but they will survive.

I'm sure they will survive the builders... had 3 little plugs of echs and two colours of phlox...thought they would die out there in the front bed with little winter cover but true to form they seemed happier in the sandy soil and full sun and they've plumped up enough that I will be able to divide them next spring.
