Paul's friend Phil made me a gate out of old fence panels to stop the four bouncey spaniels from running riot when released from their kennels. lol. Hopefully they will not jump the little gate, fingers are crossed.

Will be lovely with something scrambling. Veilchenblau is almost evergreen, and there's the evergreen yellow flowering jasmine...J. Humble revolutum. Or what about the lovely ivy with the gold heart...Hedera colchica sulphur heart, and Annie knows one that's almost completely yellow. Ivy is lovely as long as it's not on your house wall! Should sort the dogs anyway.

Karen - Thank you but yes have a rose already, it was somewhere else in the garden and did not do any good so cut it back and am hoping for a good growth in the new season. I like the rose itself so if it doesn't grow will buy a new one and try again. lol.

Thanks Jane :O)

That looks a lovely corner. The dogs will have to be going some to jump over that!

Don't forget Barbara, that you can't plant a rose in the same place as your last one, but if you really want to, then I can let you know the name of a product that allows you to do this. I'm sure whatever you decide to do will be fine !

Hi Rose, thanks for the info. I have never had a rose here before so it should be ok. it is one that did not do well in the spot I had it in. So I thought about it and decided to move it to here. It is very weak at the moment but I am thinking that it will start to change now it is in a better place, well that is the plan anyway. Think I might just add another one the other side of the arch and let them do their thing. Time will tell. x :O) B
