Hommage a Barbara Rose

It is beautiful Barbara. Lucky girl!

I know, spoiled rotten I am. It didn't like where it was so I moved her and she took umbridge to being moved but has got going again now. :O)

ah that is lovely of you :O) The colour is beautiful, cannot stop looking at it, so pretty. Been out and tidied up the border too that it is in, which always makes things stand out more - turned the soil and now it rains so it is all good. :O)

I might get this one too.. It is the epitome of the red rose. What is perfume like?

Its petals are frilly and only a very light perfume, but it is such a great one to have, the colour is so good.

It is really velvety...and that tiny touch of yellow gives it a luminosity that you don't often see in a red rose.

It looks such a rich red I'd have thought it would have a heady perfume.

I think sometimes the soil affects the perfume, well ones that are supposedly highly perfumed are never that to my nostrils, and others seem to be much more powerfully perfumed. Must try and find out what strength of perfume it is supposed to have, it is a pretty rose though, colour is amazing and the form is lovely. Karen spoiled me buying it for a present for me. I had to move it last summer as it was not doing well, hoping it likes its new spot better, you never know it might start to improve the perfume now it has been moved.

I have planted mine!
