First of the Walnut harvest

I am jealous. I love walnuts and planted 3 trees and none of them is producing :-(

what a harvest...yes me to klahanie iam jealous too...i had a walnut tree myself at a previous house....theres only about 5 trees in the whole village where i live now...

lori....a wonderful harvest indeed...you have been very busy...

The leaves have turned (yellow) and most of the nuts and leaves have fallen...will probably have this much again as I have only done 2/3 of the harvest of one tree. It helps to pay attention as the nuts are large enough that if they fall from the top of the tree they really hurt if they hit you. Will have some help this weekend, hopefully. Have to bake on Saturday. (Pies for Thanksgiving dinner) Lucky me, my son, the chef, is doing the turkey and trimmings and I will bring the dessert and we shall eat ourselves to lassitude. (very thankfully :-)
