The old cold water tank from the attic plus some old black plastic dustbins gave plenty of space to grow a variety of plants. It was colourful year round and she had clematis growing up the walls. She used sedums, ferns, Pyracantha, cistus, cornus, fatsia japonica and a pittisporum. She planted annuals like bedding begonias and geraniums to give extra colour in the summer.

Thank you Sheilabub. She took to gardening like a duck takes to water. If I remember it is a cornus. I'm sure the 'garden' helped sell the flat for her.

Well done your daughter. Just wondering what the pretty bronze-ish leaves on the right are?
