Thanks Bathgate, oh yes thats the beautiful 'Nile Crane' if you put it in the search box you'll find lots of my pictures of that one, it starts of this purple colour early in the season but later flowers are a more silvery lilac I have a couple of huge clumps which have been amazing this year, one of my first daylilies :-)

Yes Simbad, I know what you mean. I started off with the Stella 'D Oro Daylily - a bright sunny yellow flower, and got a couple more, but mostly yellows and reds. The Nice Crane would cool it down a bit and really "stand out from the crowd." I'd take a couple fans from you if I could.

Lots of daylily fans seem to start of with Stella D' Oro its one I don't have but have seen it, very pretty :-), my first was 'Big Bird' which is still my husbands favourite, all the patterned and spiders I now have and its the only one he ever comments on!!!!! , shame you don't live nearer I could definitely spare a few fans of 'Nile Crane' ;-)
Glad you like it Daglelie it is lovely colouring I agree :-)

Thanks anyway Simbad. I've posted a picture of Stella D' Oro Daylily if you want to take a look. I love the texture of it. (It's got substance). It's a small plant for the front of the bed, but it refuses to be ignored. If you are really nice to it, it will come back and re-bloom in late August. Thanks for the info.
