This occurs often in this garden, a break in the canopy creating a spotlight that moves across things in the garden. Of course, the valeriana, though not liking all this sun so much, got a good spot every day. (it was hot and dry for this poor intoxicating beauty.) I swear the smell in the air had me out of sorts for a month or more, mildly sedative.
