This is another plant which didn't do well this year. I planted it in the wrong spot; near lavender. It looked all right before the lavender started to produce the flower stalks, and eventually, the lilies were almost completely covered by the lavender. In addition, something (catapilars or what?) munched away some of the buds.

Really??
My parents have these in a pot and they do very well. Maybe they do better in pot! I'm going to dig them up next month and keep them in pot all through the year.

You should leave a few in the garden and put the rest in a pot. You never know.....they might do great in the garden next year.

But these pink ones are not full hardy (white ones are), so I have to dig them all up anyway. But I'll take your advice and plant them out (maybe half of them) in the garden next year. Thanks for the advice!

I'm so envious, Bik!
I love to buy them (white ones) but they are too expensive in Europe, and the ones I looked at on eBay were all from Greece. I don't want to pay import tax, so I'll buy one probably when I go to Japan next year!

2,5 english pounds for one bulb. they send me 5 ''citrina'' bulbs for 2,5 pounds.

I have this in a pot and it's doing great. I planted a bulb in the garden this summer but it's not doing much, yet.
