Allamanda cathartica (golden trumpet)

This vine was planted in many locations in lower garden and pruned into a srub. Flowers are fragrant .

Allamanda neriifolia is another good shrub. It's a little more manageable than A. cathartica.

Yes, the flowers are smaller and more tubular; however, a very prolific bloomer. It's very commonly sold here.

Needs to be seen in person. The glossy foliage is like wax in person.
What being 1,990 miles south of me can grow-wink.

I'd like to grow it few hundred miles north of you Stan. I have to make pressure on my OH to get a green house next summer. I had one but then big wind came and it collapsed. I was picking glass for few years :-(

I like Allamanda. It can grow very quickly, though...and I don't have room. This is why I have Allamanda 'Cherries Jubilee' growing as a shrub in my back yard.
