I have this too Gnarly.....last summer all the flowers were at the highest point and I couldn't see them, so a couple of months ago I pruned it right back down. It was touch and go for a while, then off it went like a sky rocket and right back up to where it was before...ha ha. I've read somewhere that they need training laterally, but the stems are so soft, they snap easily. I'll just have to get my step ladders out to see it!

I have this growing on a 8 foot fence River side so when it gets to the top it sprawl over on to the decking area , mine just coming into bud

Ooh, you're far ahead of mine and by the river that sounds perfect! Mines got it's sights set on the stars I reckon...:))
