Taken while living in Dar es Salaam, Africa. Huge tree roots big enough to make a bench to read the newspaper or wait for the bus. (I'm not in this photo) Dar Es Salaam is on the east coast in Tanzania, near Mt. Kilimanjaro and the Serengeti.

Hi Jane: Thanks, that's my co-worker. We were there on a work mission. We traveled all over Africa, Asia and down to Auckland New Zealand. Incredible experience.
I enjoyed connecting with the people of different countries. Even though I don't speak French, we still managed to communicate in various resourceful and imaginative ways. Challenging yet rewarding.

Driad yes that's really an understatement and this was just the beginning. I've been in and out of many harrowing experiences. Thank You!

Thanks Sandra. All I could say, every day was an adventure. Not always "peaches and cream" and adventure for sure. I too had wanderlust!!

nice photo...the guy with the hat is handsome... getting to the root of the matter...i like the idea of sitting on the huge tree roots in a sunny spot and socializing while waiting for bus....seems friendly....
