Isn't that pure looking? I've never seen one as white as that, and the touch of cerise....lovely!

Lovely, Scottkat! I had a white one, too for a couple of years but it must have died a summer or two ago as it didn't flower last year or this year. I have some bright pink & some dark red ones but no longer the white one.

I was in a supermarket about a week ago looking at the flowers on the shelves when I noticed something I've not seen in years - leaves of Christmas Cactus lying on the shelf! I quickly picked the up & now I've put them in a pot of compost. They will probably root quite quickly & I'll have another couple of plants to add to my collection!

If you've read my blog of a few weeks ago "Christmas Cacti? You're joking!" where I explain where my plants come from you will know that that is how I obtained them in the first place but 11 or 12 years ago!

Thanks for the offer, Scotcat, I'd love a cutting! I could send you a cutting from a red one if you like as well. Or if you would like from the pink one as well. They root very easily.

I was in a supermarket a week or tow ago &, for the first time in many years, I found a couple of pieces of Christmas Cactus broken off which I collected & brought home. I put them in a pot with some compost & I expect they will root - eventually. I think they were pink, but a different pink from the ones I have. If they do root then I will see next year around October-November time!
