It's called Christmas Pepper tree, also. This is not my favorite tree because it's such a weed tree here. It's root are toxic some plant, also. Photo taken in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on Dec. 17, 2013.

Can you believe it may be about 85ºF (29ºC) here on Christmas Day? It's going to feel like late Oct. instead of December.
The Brazilian Pepper tree is pretty from a distance. It's a horrible weed tree which pops up everywhere. It's also taken over the Everglades in Florida (it's extremely invasive in subtropical/tropical climates). Does it grow there?
