I came upon this spectacular Red Maple tree while driving through Kingston, New York. It's really showing off it's Autumn display.

Sent you a PM,Paul..and I saw on our news, about the Blizzards you are having...and it's on it's way here ,only it will be more heavy rain when it hits the south and west coasts again..either tomorrow or Tuesday..the situation is bad here,as the flooding is horrendous for many people...lots evacuated from their homes, and untold damage...we are so lucky where we are,and not affected, but other parts of Yorkshire will be again soon,if it doesn't stop raining..:o(

I'm real sorry about that, but it's the freezing temps that's really affecting us. There is yet a bigger storm on the way and it will be on top of what we already have. I'm glad you are ok. I hope it's not as bad as they are predicting.

I hope it isn't as bad for you too..There have been several people who have lost their lives, but mostly because they have been too near to the shore line, trying to take photo's,despite the red alert warnings..one person was even trying to swim ,down on the south/west coast.!..but the coast guards managed to save him..putting their lives at risk too..brain dead or what??

That's horrible. I had no idea the storms were affecting you so badly. Tuesday and Wednesday should be interesting. The temps will dip to 20 degrees below freezing. :O

One of the worst areas is Gloucestershire,as the river Severn has overflowed in several areas..Tewkesbury is almost surrounded by water, and the Cathedral is in danger of being an island..plus Leamington spa and Oxford are in danger too..just seen the update on these, and in the US as well..it mentioned about the temps expected for Tuesday..stay safe and warm,Paul..we will all get through it eventually !

Thank You Sandra: Is this normal weather for your area? It seems lately our winters are getting colder and more snow. Seems like one storm follows on the heels of another.

It seems to be going that way,Paul ,not just at this time of year, but in summer too..over the past three years it has affected some part of the country or another..this one is more from the Midlands to the South and West of England, but parts of Wales have it really bad as well....we haven't been affected by this up north as yet..times are changing for the worse,I think..

I noticed that too for us here in New York. Our summer was very hot and dry. I can't remember any significant rain over the summer.
