Klahanie:
Do the tropical Hibiscus get attacked by the giant Mexican White Fly? Many tropical Hibiscus here in San Diego get infested by the horrible, horrible giant Mexican White Fly.

I have not seen them here Delonix1. As the matter of fact I have not seen any flies except few green bottle iridescent flies attracted to the flowers of Stapelia gigantea .But only for a few hours.
We have large colonies of Leafcutter ants here. They can strip a large hibiscus over night. Our roses are defoliated too. . I love to watch them though...they are hard workers. And you can see the hierarchy in the colony.I can see about 4 different sizes and each of them have a different function. Fascinating to watch.

Those ants sound so destructive.
I know the giant Mexican white fly is native to Mexico; however, not sure what section of Mexico.

Yes Homebird, it is a nice blend of yellow and red(and everything in between). Problem with hibiscus here is that it is loved and completely stripped by leafcutter ants. So, we have slugs and deer up north and they have ants here. We never win, do we?.
