The doubles are a must have Timmy I have a couple now and am hoping they cross and seed around in the future :-)

I haven't had much luck with doubles seeding Kathy, I'm always hoping. Have you any anemone centred ones?

Thanks for that Pam only have this one double (so far) so no experience as to whether they set seed.
No I don't have any anemone centred ones but wow they're stunning I was admiring one on here just the other day, think it was on Bjs photos.

I have seedlings from a semi double but will be a few years before I know what it has produced,i use a soft artist's brush across the flower to pollinate there are not many bees to do it this time of year.
And something I mentioned a while ago we now have many Hellebores whose flowers face upwards nature intended them to face down this would allow the pollen to fall on the Stigma and self pollinate whereas facing even partially upwards will see the pollen washed away with all the rain we have had, so a helping hand is in order.

I feel inspired to have a go with a double white one and a very dark red - could be wonderful but more likely a total flop!

very different to what ive seen...really like!

This is the only double I have Marybells but love it so much I've just sent for some more from Hayloft Plants 10 for 12.95 a p+p so 17.95 in all which I thinks pretty good only young plants but hey they'll grow, all double ellen varieties, had some lovely alstromerias from them last year which are all doing well.

that is good considering for what i paid just for one plant

Sound like very good value - how big are the plants?

Not Sure Steragram it just says young plants they aren't despatched till May, I did buy some off ebay a few years ago that only had their first true leaves and some of those flowered in two years some in three, I can wait for that price :-), here's the link, quite a few different offers.
