This hasn't flowered for 2 years and as I walked up the garden a glimpse of white drew me to take a closer look and lo and behold this is full of flowers. There are loads of fading flowers so it must have been flowering un-noticed for weeks.

This is pretty ... I did the same the other day ... almost walked past a Hellebore, then noticed all the flowers !

I've never had much success with these lovely plants, they always seemed to disappear. In desperation, I planted on in a pot last year and low and behold it survived this time. Then I heard some advise on the radio, which said I should go and cut off all the 'old' leave and stalks before the new buds opened, so they can be seen better. I've done this, but now, although the buds are opening, the pLANT looks 'bare.' I wish I'd never touched it.
Yours is beautiful HB.

Lovely, you can now get a double niger. I grow a few special hellebores in a large plastic hanging basket then you can look up into the flower head. Will post a pic. in the next day or so.
