Paeonia mascula looking fat and interesting. I am hoping it will flower this year.

more than likely, slugs the size of sausages but not as tasty :o).
I've had it 3 yrs now I am hoping there may be a flower lurking in there this year.

Hope you get a flower next year SBG. We've had a few very large slugs this year. I pop them in a bag and tie it up the put it in the bin. We have hedgehogs so can't use pellets.

It did flower this year, very pretty too. I don't tend to use slug pellets either due to the hedgehogs and the birds.
