Nandina... Blush Pink

Really like the colours of this one!

Pretty plant,Val..seems to be quite popular now..

I always love this plant, but it doesn't do well here.

Wonder why? Could it be the salty easterly winds?

Sorry, so you don't! it's gralew's! No Aileen, I don't think we have enough warmth up here for this one! although they sell it in all the GCs. It's one of those plants that will survive, but not thrive I think.

I have the Nandina Dornestica it has pretty sprays of white flowers ,mine is getting old with woody stems ,I've read that when this happens you should cut out one old stem per year to keep it healthy which is what I've started doing .. I don't know if this would apply to your Blush Pink Val ...

Thanks! Karen. I better not then - it gets petty cold here being further inland. We've had a few frosts so far, but only between -3c to -6c which is nothing when you consider what we can get!

Aileen, I'm loving it. I've been out today and moved stuff around, and planted things, and laid things ready for planting. I'll soon have everything that I brought with me in the ground! I just need a good day like today...but not to have to do four loads of laundry and a big food shop! Lol! Life gets in the way of my passion sometimes!

Laundry...Oh..I know all about that - I'm sure someone takes the clean clothes and puts them back in the laundry bin, and I think the towels march in there all by themselves..it's endless! The shopping well...I might do it, then again... I might just order it online, one less shopping trip :)))))

My daughter was the biggest culprit in the world for putting stuff in the laundry basket when she was a teenager , she would try at least 3 outfits on and then instead of folding them up and putting them back in the cupboard she would put them straight in the laundry basket I finally got wise to her and started folding them up and putting them back I don't think she ever knew , I'll have to ask her now she has children of her own ....
