Mackaya bella - Forest Bell Bush

My Forest bell bush has been blooming since last Nov. It typically will bloom in late February, March or April. Photo taken Feb. 11, 2014.

All of mine are growing well (indoors though). The mother plant is in the (unheated) shed and seems happy enough.

That's great! They are a very wonderful lush, dark green shrub, especially when they receive a lot of water.

That's why my foliage is better than your foliage!!! Water I don't struggle with! Heat on the other hand...............

Yes, unfortunately, this plant is right under the giant Jacaranda tree. It can never receive enough water due to the competition from the Jacaranda's roots.
