I have no idea Hywel. It lives in the pot and it is a clump of fairly long "fingers". If you come across something like that please let me know.

They don't look like typical cactus flowers, and they don't look like cactus spines either. I would say it's an Euphorbia of some sort. I'm going to look it up later on ...

That is pretty in flower, it does look a lot like the Euphorbia aeruginosa picture I have except this one looks like a lighter green and the one I saw was a blue-green color.
