Mine has buds about to open too, I love this shrub so much so I took cuttings and have 4 now ooops.

Lucky you Andrew, that is early, we bought a white (Elkingtons) named after our County Organiser Patricia, found it in her garden!! no signs of any flowers though, our fault, we moved and heavily pruned it........

is it scented? I wish I could grow these but not with the Honey fungus in the garden.

Yes, but I can't reach it to have a sniff! The pink one has rather an unpleasant 'niff' but this one is better for some reason. ;-)

It is indeed, so much is coming through at the moment.....hope we do not get a cold snap now!! have lost a few plants due to the wet.
