Brian I really admire you for being able to name your varieties ,my garden is full of different ones I hate to admit it but I couldn't tell you the name of one of them , It's something I must do one day !

Amy you would need several experts to name them correctly it is almost impossible with a lot of them.
for example two large flowered one one called Magnet and another called Galatea the only thing that separates them is the angle of the green mark on the inner petal Galatea is 90 deg and Magnet is about 70 deg.
It is taking things a bit far I like a difference I can recognize without a magnifying glass.

Amy I am know expert on these If I loose the labels that would be it for most of them.
All the ones in the garden have slate labels so Jamie does not snap them off .the garden looks a bit like a Cemetry.lol

Brian I've invested in one of those plant labeling machines the postman delivered it this morning it was half price at Amazon we need batteries for it ,I was fed up of finding labels with the names worn off ...

Amy Had one years ago before they used batteries you just pressed the trigger to make the imprint there are still a few around the garden on Shrubs so they last, they are all mounted on Zinc which lasts for ever unlike plastic.

I got a labelling machine for xmas. sticking the labels onto metal tags is a brill idea. better than sticking them on to plastic ones.
