Hellebore 'Anna's Red'

This seem to be a step nearer to what I call Red. I have Harvingtons and Ballards Red but they fall short of this one.
There may be others better that I have not seen.

I've often wondered why they label them red, in my eyes they all look pink.
This one's a beauty though.

Scottish I agree a lot of them are anything but red,
Problem is if the growers sold them as mucky pinkish reddish brown no one would buy them.

I agree . . . difficult colour to describe: my Malva sylvestris that colour (which I'd call 'raspberry') is labelled 'pink/purple'.

That's a nice one. I got a goodish red last year. I think it was Lady Red. there was a Lady series according to the gc.
bought it in flower but no buds this year :o(
