These next three pics show how the Hellebore's have seeded in the paving cracks, you wonder how they can grow in such a confined outlet.

Always the same isn't it you spend ages trying to get these to germinate from bought seed with no success and just leave them to their own devices and they do it all on their own lol.
Just reminded me seeing your aquilegia I had one self seed in the paving the prettiest one in the whole garden!!! impossible to move though.

I did not know that hellebores seed themselves.
Aquilegia yes, Sometimes I collect the seeds from it but have plenty of plants from self seeding every year.

Yes Klahanie, they self seed everywhere in my garden. If you lived nearer I would send you some seedlings.
