Snowberry bushes in February
Comments on this photo
These houses were built a couple of years ago & are supposed to be "Green", that is "environmentally friendly".
They are supposed to have been made with "environmentally friendly" materials & be more efficient than "normal" houses. They have solar panels of the roofs & water-butts for every house. The roofs are covered in living plants that are resistant to the harsh conditions you'd expect to find on a rooftop. Plants like Sempervivens.
Not knowing anybody who lives in these houses I have no idea how they might compare to "normal" houses.
They are at the bottom of our road. I took lots of photos whilst they were being built!

You might like to check out Hills Partnerships, the builders. I tried to do it for you but can't find Greenhart Grove on their site. I remember seeing on their site some years ago but not any longer.

see what you mean about the houses, Balcony, they should be very green. they seem to have compraratively large windows, should save on electricity for lighting - sometimes I think archtects think the Window Tax still exists!
