Ha ha!

It's beautiful! However, I never think of this being an indoor plant. It's mass-planted outdoors in many shaded-areas around San Diego...especially in Balboa Park.

Yes, many are still in full bloom. I like the yellow varieties, also.
Yes, they're quite a sight. I've posted so many photos of Clivia flowering in the past. It's such a very common plant grown throughout California (with the exception of the mountains and deserts, of course).

I have been looking to buy the yellow one for ages now.....
16 Mar, 2014
The yellow ones are pretty common here. They are however, very expensive. It's a trademarked variety...this is the reason why they're so expensive.
17 Mar, 2014
They are not cheap here, they do take a few years before they flower.

That's strange they don't sell them in bloom there?
Most of the ones for sale here are usually in bloom.
17 Mar, 2014
They are in bloom when you buy them, but try and get them to bloom the next year, not easy plants, by any means....

You're in a pretty protected area in the south of England, right? Can you grow them outside...or is it still too cold?
I know the Clivias during the December 1990 freeze (the worst recorded freeze in northern California) they survived. Some inland canyons got down to 14ºF (-10ºC). I was surprised the Clivias survived and even bloomed...I guess because most were grown in protected shaded spots, which they love.
