Ribbit ...... They've been going crazy in the pond today, all massed together, doing their thing, lots of spawn.

That's amazing Dawn, gosh there's loads of spawn in there , I'd forgotten it's that time of the year in our last village we use to go on patrol with buckets helping them across the road it was sad as so many of them were run over ,it's good to know these ones are in safe hands :o)

Oh you are lucky, have not seen a toad in the garden for years, still waiting for our frogs to come back, Colin ( our daughters Daxi) caught the frog and frightened it to death.....little devil!!

Oh my goodness there's loads !!!lucky you.
Remember years ago at our last house seeing them all crossing the road one wet day Amy, amazing how they all return to the pond they were born in, luckily it was a very quite road.

Amy, Kathy, I've never seen them cross the road, weird how they travel to do their thing, they are almost in a frenzy at the moment.
DD hope your frog returns.

The wonder of spring hormones Dawnsaunt. We once stayed on a camp site in Normandy and the variety of croaks and goings on in a large pond in the middle was amazing.....but we slept well. Only one other motor home on site....magic.

Used to have them in a garden I had years ago but the cats would bring the poor things in. I would come home from work only to find one in the cats drinking bowl trying to keep wet. I had an open stairwell in the lounge made of wood, and sometimes you would here them flip flop down the stairs when the cats had taken them into the bedrooms.
