Prunus salicifolia - Capulin Cherry

This is a true cherry which is native to the tropics. It grows best in a warm subtropical climate like here in San Diego, CA. This is the first time it's blooming. It was started from a seed two years ago. Photo taken March 18, 2014.

Yes, it's not bad for growing in a pot for two years.
If it was in the ground most likely it would be 10 ft (3.3m) tall, already. It's a very fast grower.
