Stera,
This photo certainly turned out well and the daffs look splendid along your hillside. They all seem to have done/are doing really well this year!

They have. Its just unfortunate that we can't see them from the house or even the garden without making a special detour down by the road. But the passers by get the benefit!

No, the building is just in the garden of a rented cottage further down the road and I have often wondered what its for. A couple of years ago it was completely renovated but I don't think its used for anything.
Hardly any snowdrops left now, the last few days of sunshine have finished them except in a few shady areas.
Thanks for all your likes folks.

If I ever find out I'll try to remember to tell you - but by then you'll have forgotten what I'm talking about...

wow, that is one "daffy" bank!!

when I was on one of my walks, I noticed a whole raft of bulbs coming up on a bank along the road - meant to go back and see how they gurned out, forgot, but they might still be showing now.

Certainly worth going along to see your bank if its not too far. We are so lucky with our bank - it was all planted by the previous owner.

it's on one of the two routes out of here that i know of so far, so this weekend I might feel like a shop, and go thataway

i'm finding bulbs springing up that I never planted - lol and those I've planted haven't yet sprung!

Great - hope you find them. Your bulbs were all planted very late so probably they will appear later. Its great waiting to see what surprises a new garden has waiting for you isn't it? Ours had none as it was nearly all grass.

i have a few coming up a bit, and my ultra-mini crocus might be a very early "my" bulb

I also put plenty of Blue Garden seeds in, so I daren't assume they're weeeds and pull them up!

Love those early crocus. Yes, the blue flowers will be a wait and see job!

nods!!!! i dug up all the weeds i could find, (ie anythiung that wasn't a bulh) but i may hae missed some tiny bits.

my last post was a bit of a mess, i changed tnoughts in midstream. meant to say that some non-bulbs are sprouting, but ...etc

Not to worry. Treat today - the blue wood anemone I bought last year has its first flower - waited years for one of these, so its big smile time!

It wouldn't photograph very well as its very small and in a shady place but I'll have a go when the other flowers come out.
