OH has been clearing a few dead trees in the wood over the past few weeks but a couple were a bit to big for him to manage, as if by magic a gardening company were posting leaflets and he asked if they could chop them, they did it there and then, chopped into logs and even made us a seat from one of the trunks :-), still a bit of clearing to do in this area, then room for some more woodland plants :-)

Yes Amy and the good thing is it faces the part that's been planted:-)
I've cleared round the seat today and planted a couple of hostas that I swapped on another site so they should look quite nice soon :-)
Thanks Dawn :-), that's the dreaded cow parsley the stuffs everywhere, the path is alongside the main road into town there's a low wall at the side of it and the grass behind is the cemetery :-), I'll have to do a blog one day showing the layout of the garden etc give you some idea where everything leads, I need to finish the weeding first lol.

I must get some hostas split and added to the woodland, once they are up.
Interesting isnt it how all are gardens are different, yours is especially interesting.
You're like me Kathy, no time for blogs, too much weeding.

I'm excited to see my new ones Dawn don't know the names but the lady I swapped with did send me pictures, she sent 3 huge clumps, all are now planted in the wood, we did a swap last year too, this year we used Hermes took 3-4 days to arrive but early march time the plants travelled well, only cost me £7 for a huge box weighed 8kg!! and hers weighed even more as she sent me all the snowdrops I bought too,we both have lots of new plants for the garden for maybe the price of one plant, I also got a couple of astrantia, 2 different anemone, autumn crocus, lovely white japanese iris, kirengeshoma (which I'm really excited about) clematis recta, plus a couple of other things, everything's planted in the wood except for the iris, and all are growing brilliantly, exciting:-)
Don't know about you Dawn but by the time I've got round all the borders weeding its time to start again lol, well you must be the same as your gardens much bigger than mine, there's one that's really heavy clay soil and I always put that one off it really needs doing but after the heavy rain a few days ago it'll be to muddy, that's my excuse lol.
