Hi alanb. This one seems happy in the corner of the stone trough where it has been for a good few years. Flowers every spring and, as you say, looks a bit different.

How unusual. They're lovely, I've never seen these before. I've just had a look on the internet. If I was looking at the correct one, they are very hardy and can survive temperatures of -20 degrees, evergreen, happy in containers or borders and beautifully scented. Perfect in a rock garden, low maintenance, easy to grow. Prefers well drained soil in sun or part shade. Height and spread 20 cms. x 50 cms. I'll definitely be looking out for one of these.
