Poor fella! What crazy weather. I hope he gets a few big worms!

Don't think the snow will stay around long, soon be warming up again. Put the snow shovels away in the garage and have no intention of getting them out again.

What a lovely bird! He reminds me of a redwing...we get them migrating here for food from Scandinavia in cold winters. They are members of the thrush family I think. I don't think it's the same bird..yours is much redder! He's very handsome!

..just checked, and he is from the same family...Turdus...as thrush and Redwing. You learn something new every day on here! :))

Yes, they call them robins here, but they are really thrushes. I think they were named by homesick British settlers that missed the robin from back home and it had the same red breast.

great shot, Gillian...I don't think he minds the snow at all...i've noticed that the last snowfall always comes after the robins, although this year we've had more than one last snowfall...enough, already!!! thanks for sharing...

We just had flurries last night! Brrr!!

At least the flurries are not so serious now and the snow doesn't stay around long, looks back on track with more spring-like weather today for me, hope it's the same for you Bathgate!
