Still pretty, even when it stares at the ground. I have this and a couple other hellebores planted in front of a few mountain laurels and some sandstone and they look great.

Just looked at the piccie before this one - I think this must be it's true colour! :D It is really beautiful!

Yes, it looks brighter in this picture because of the angle of the picture and because I wasn't blocking the light like I was in the picture before. It's a beautiful color but quite a bit lighter than the past 3 years. I liked the dark color better, if I find an image I will post it.

Is the colouring in your photograph true to real life Rkwright? It looks very unusual - a Blue-Violet type of colour? :o)
