Actinidia Kolomikta

We have this plant, but something has been eating it, huge holes, cannot see what though, so frustrating......

I planted this at the end of last summer - was warned that the cats like it!! Boy, how they like it. I've had to construct a large cage so it can put on more leaves.
There is one that grows at one of my local nurseries and it's a spectacular specimen.

I wonder if they are eating ours, but how they would get to it heaven knows!!

I take it the damage on yours is high up DD2 - maybe not cats but I thought I'd throw that out there just in case, you never know.
