Globe flower - it never looks like it's full open - for sun of part shade in moist soil. Actually prefers a heavier soil. This variety gets to 18 inches tall and does what is says, flowering first.

Miles ahead of my Trollius - like it with the Uncinia? I've found a seedling of it growing very nearby by mine, I might have to give it a nudge in the right direction ;)

Scottish - I have this in a 'yellow' border. All the plants in it have cream, yellow or orange flowers. I also grow the uncinia there, along with euphorbia polychroma, for early colour.

I've just added Golden Queen to the garden this spring Andrew, I grew Cheddar for the first time last year and really loved it. I also grow a tiny one called T. acaulis - very pretty and only 15 cm high. It should be the first one to flower here.
Your border sounds lovely - I've been trying to add more yellows to the new bed I've just finished planting out.

Scottish - I did a blog about the border back in November 2009, showing how it changes during the year ('A Year in the Life of a Border')
