Berberis Ottawensis Superba (new shrub 43)

Back to your cheery yellow flowers flowers and a shrub I can't ID. Marigolds?

Looks like a Berberis. A deciduous Berberis. I'm trying to think of the name of this one....but it's gone. Try googling Berberis and see what you find.

thanks, Karen, I'll check it out. did. wow! some of the colours are spectacular! sadly can't really go on shrub shape, as this one's still recovering from "cut-backs", but I'll keep on looking.

There are two types, or sub-types, Dorjac: one has a black centre and the other a same-colour-as-leaves centre. the only black-centred flwoer I know of is "black-eyed Susan" and that's all I know about it! shee, never thought of putting that into Google ...

just rectified that. pics look same, but they say it's a vine, where i'm sure this is a plant - well, you know what I mean!

I'm wondering coreopsis which I saw at Art GC today Fran. Try Google images to see if u can ID the yellow plants. Landed at Art GC today as NAAFI people all at a funeral for a 29 year old dad of a young baby after a plane crash.No one serving food so we turned over to Art nursery and given a well presented meals for the two of us with a latte each for £7!!! A bag of pea gravel I could carry and some other goodies too. It was me wot suggested Ribes for wot u said was a shrub.
