I have seen this one as well , spray with garlic
My hosta seeds I saved , have grown I didnt realise how easy from seed , I will have to take a photo , I planted them fresh in the Autumn 2012 and up they came.

There are so many this year aren't there Dawn every pot I pick up has either a slug or snail attached, I'd win the snail lobbing contest easy lol.
Really must do that Gg have the recipe pinned on my notice board ;-), do they come true from seed ? not something I've ever tried, yes take a picture :-)

Hosta big daddy , and they do look like the dad , I will have to see with Francis williams as they also easily set seed I will leave one or two flowering stems on , I will send you some if you want ?? later in the year.

Oooo now that's good to know Gg, not something I've ever thought of growing from seed, thankyou so much for the offer but I already have those two hostas, I'll leave the stems on mine and see if any set seed and I'll let you know if they do, if there's any you don't have I'll happily collect you some seed :-)
