Later flowering Magnolia hybrid, flowers are light purple on the outside and white on the inside. This is a smaller Magnolia and flowers are fragrant. I like this one because of the small size and later flowering because the flowers are less likely to be killed by frost

Thank you, I've had this one close to ten years I'd imagine and my only complaint is that it is very slow growing but since it's a smaller variety that doesn't surprise me much. You're just on the other side of the lakes from me, do you live close to the Great Lakes?
