Fabulous, is this in flower at the moment?
17 May, 2014
Yes, I started the pots off in the greenhouse so they'd be in flower for my open days. The others are budding up nicely, but this is the first to open. :-)

Goodness that is early, ours are on the verge, hoping they will last until we open, so we could do with less sunshine, and you could do with more....cracking colour B...

Yes, I had two pots in the greenhouse, 'forcing', but the ones outside are still in tight bud. It's a bloomin' nuisance, as I wanted more to pop in the borders. :-(

I am having lots of problems with our daylilies they are suffering from gall midge, we had a few problems last year, but it is a lot worse this year. we might have to get rid of all the early flowering varieties....sigh

Is that what might be eating my lilies? Several pots are affected.
7 Jun, 2014
I do not know whether they eat other lilies, but I know they eat daylilies......look on the RHS site for info.....

Yes, I know about gall midge, but I just wondered if they attacked Asiatic lilies as well?

I dont think so, unfortunately due to a mild winter lots of bugs about....

I must do some research on what eats lily buds. Two pots are ruined. Grrrr....

Oh that is not good....

No, and the pots of lilies I grew to sell on my plant stall are still here....why did I bother? Never mind, I'll pop them in the border.
13 Jun, 2014
You can never tell what is going to sell, can you, I shall be glad to get shot of all the pots (driving me mad this year, we have not got the room to store so many, OH went mad this year.....hoping they will all go on Saturday..

Are you almost sorted? I think you'll be OK with the weather. :-)
I've had to start composting the left-over plants - I can't water them all, they're simply not worth it. Shame, but still.
