Ivy as well, is very clever at coming through fences and over walls. I feel as if the enemy is 'at the gates'. Repeated sprays with glycophospate have only minor impact on the darn stuff.

I'vs not used any sprays, mainly becaue I don't know of any! I've been cutting back and pulling up roots - I suppose it's coming under hte fence, cos I had a quick peek over next door and they don't seem to have anything growing up the fence that I could see, so it must be lower.

Maybe when I get my tall fences, sink something into the ground to stop future spread - of course it'll come up oer the top, but that won't be roots.
