Thanks Klahanie...you must be back on the "island" by now? Saw a long range forcast that said the "west" was going to have a long hot summer and we in the "east" were to have a cooler than normal summer. Hope it's right and you're enjoying good weather. It sure is cooler than normal here.

You are having a west-east split, and here, as usual, we are having a North-South divide! Cool and overcast here with some rain, and warm as toast in most of England. In fact, it was 12C in Inverness today, and the mid to high 20's in the south. And we are such a small island!

We are back home until end of October. Weather on the Island is decent. Seasonal. I was comparing my pictures and we are at about the same stage as last year. Hope the weather will improve for you soon, Lori....and Karen

12 degrees C, Karen? That does sound like our weather! I think it's that Polar whatsit? If only we could have it decently warm overnight. we're still getting temps of 4 degrees in the wee hours.
Glad it's status quo, Klahanie. Can't believe it's almost June and it's this cold.

I keep telling myself that all this damp weather will just make everything grow. And to be honest, everything is growing really fast right now, so I have no right to complain...and it's MAY! And nothing puts me down in May! :)))

along with the little primrose, leaves are showing on the lilac and it's budding up!...my roses are leafed out finally....and the tulips have buds and some are actually blooming. I'm going to shut up now.:-) Every year I envy U.K. gardeners but forget when the warmth finally gets here and everything pops out, seemingly overnight! have a pic of the English bluebells on my blog...they will bloom soon I hope. Then I'll host an "it's blooming!" party!
So glad your weather is nice for your New Zealanders, Amy. "Ah to be in England, now that April's (May's) here!" (sorry for the mangled quote~ it just seemed appropriate.)
I have to agree Karen it's hard to stay down for too long in May. Perhaps it's the adventure of the new garden that makes it so special, as well?
