I remember you saying that lat yr Brian.
The stem is now 4and half feet over the years as it was growing we had very strong winds which snapped the growing stem.
Same when it first bloomed with one flower in it's 5th year of growth it just opened enough to see colour when bloom got snapped.
I don't know the name of it ,8 yrs ago I paid£5 for a small plant with no name.

Lovely yellow tree peony Scotkat. Our yellow one in the garden was taken out of a pot where it hardly bloomed. It likes it in the garden sunlight/dappled shade and had 14 blooms......most ever. I take out a couple of older shoots each year. Keeps it getting too tall.

I just counted I have got 10 blooms and it's been slow growing so not too tall .

They are a lovely buttercup yellow is it Lutea or a dwarfer one, my lutea's are over 8ft and almost to tall to appreciate the blooms.
