I planted these David Austin roses in a border at the front of the house two years ago. I'm hoping to have an abundance of flowers this year! Hopefully, this is the first of many...

Thanks Jane, it's a lovely dusky pink colour. I had a problem with the flowers not opening last year... So I had a chat with a man on the David Austin stall last summer, at Hampton Court. He said words to the effect that the plants need to establish. I hope he's correct as they've been in two years now, they look nice and established but the proof will be in the blooms... and then it will be a case of :o))) or :o( lol!!!

i got mine this year its beginning to bud but i get this feeling it will not be a spectacular blooming this year...
my wild rose bushy thing blooms well now after a good few years :-) iam putting down a rose feed as well just cuz everyone seems too lol...
if weather keeps like it does i think you may well have spectacular blooms.. :-)

I never used to like roses in the garden - I always thought they were a lot of trouble! But Meadowland gave me a lot of tips and it really does help to put down the Rose flower food and spray them for midges, black spot etc., I've seen a lot of improvement in the older roses that we have too! ;o)))
