Heuchera 'Sweet Tea'

I think its my favourite now as well. Mine has reproduced in the pot now. The colours are lovely aren't they.

Lovely "autumn colour"..... in summer.

Mine started off really well, but then faded. Hopefully it will revive now I've fed it...unless something's-a-munching it!

This one did not like my garden at all!

The one I grew in a pot was magnificent, but the two I've had in the ground haven't been good. It must be our soil Angie.

Ah, yes! That's because it is a Heucherella HB, and the flower stems of it's Tiarella genes are much shorter. Good observation!

How interesting! Vicky lists it as Heucherella on Plantagogo website, and she has the national collection. Weird!

So that's the difference between Heuchera and Heucherella! I did wonder...

ooh, that's nice! I've been checking out Heuchera on Plantagogo - so many seem to call to me, asking me to adopt them! this has to be one of them

I have this one an dhave checked my label it says Heucherella , it does get confusing doesn't it !

ah, right. I did check their Heucherellas, thinking that they had some relation to Heuchera, given the name, but the ones I saw did'nt seem very similar. Maybe I didn't check down far enough

I believe Heucherella is a hybrid of Heuchera and Tiarella, but I may just be jumping to the wrong conclusions! :))

Hi, you're quite right Karen, it is a cross between Heuchera and Tiarella, it should actually be labelled as
x Heucharella, signifying that it is a hybrid, Derek.

sounds likely, Karen. maybe the first few I saw took after one side rather than th eother!
